Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is the 1-day qualification that meets HSE guidance, designed for lower-risk workplaces and smaller organisations. It gives delegates the confidence and skills to respond effectively in a first aid emergency — from calling 999 to performing CPR while waiting for the ambulance.

HSE Requirements & Compliance
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make adequate first aid provision. For low-risk workplaces with fewer than 25 employees, a single EFAW-trained first aider is often sufficient. Your responsibility begins with completing a First Aid Needs Assessment.
